"What it does have going for it is the chance to watch two star performers, Hutton and Weisz, haul this Disney show onto their shoulders and rush it across the finish line."

"'This is the calibre of theatre that we can bring to Gravenhurst,' Dave Campbell says. The multitalented Debbie Collins, Jeremy Crittenden. Geoffrey Tyler, and Jenny Weisz combine forces to deliver a performance that rivals anything seen on larger stages. We are fortunate to have it at our doorstep."

"Jenny Weisz as Little Red Riding Hood is a highlight as a precocious, twisted child, like Annie with a mean streak."

"Jenny Weisz (the title role in Annie) leaped into the breach with less than an hour’s notice and delivered two of the program’s powerhouse selections. Weisz and Aaron Walpole sang a duet called “Stop the World” from Come From Away."

"The show sinks or flies on its Annie, and Weisz is perfectly cast: childlike but not childish, innocent and optimistic but neither saccharine nor Pollyanna-ish. Musically she's a dream, nailing the show's best-known song, Tomorrow, both emotionally and vocally."

"Annie at YPT Toronto sounds marvellous with Jenny Weisz as its lead.Weisz manages to make us forget her real age with some wide-eyed optimism and her beautiful voice and considering most of Annie's lines are simple two word sentences, it's a great feat to keep her feeling real and naive without making her feel stupid."

“We needed someone with some depth as an actor,” director Allen MacInnis says, “because with kids performing before kids, you’ve really got to watch out for the cute factor.”
So MacInnis threw auditions wide open and one of the young women who walked in was Jenny Weisz, 21 years old and a recent graduate of the musical theatre program at Sheridan College.
“She came in and did a scene from Kristen Thomson’s I, Claudia for her audition and that closed the deal, as far as I was concerned,” recalls MacInnis.

"In an interesting move, Annie is not played by a talented child but by a talented twenty-year-old Jenny Weisz. She brings the singing chops and the sweet acting chops to the roll without too much of a suspension of disbelief. She has the nuance and experience to flesh out the performance into a believable character."
